How it works

  1. 1

Choose how to resize: Max size, Percentage or Exact size.

  2. 2

Enter the width, height or percentage you need.

  3. 3

Drop your images onto the page, choose them, or paste with Ctrl+V.

  4. 4

Download each image, or all of them as a ZIP.

What it does

Resize one image or a whole batch: fit them inside a maximum size, set exact dimensions, or scale by a percentage. Images are resampled in high quality on your device, never uploaded, and you can download them one by one or as a ZIP.

Your files stay yours

Your images are resized by code running in this browser tab. They are never uploaded to HeyGrow or anyone else, nothing is stored after you close the page, and hidden metadata such as GPS location is removed by default.

  • Three ways to resize: fit within a maximum size, exact width and height, or percentage
  • Keeps proportions automatically, or unlock them to stretch to an exact size
  • Won't enlarge small images unless you allow it
  • High-quality resampling, also for big reductions
  • Optionally convert to JPG, PNG or WebP while resizing
  • Batch resizing with a ZIP download
  • Removes hidden metadata such as GPS location by default

Good to know

  • Animated GIFs are resized as a still image (their first frame).
  • HEIC photos from iPhones aren't supported yet.
  • Very large images (50+ megapixels) depend on your device's memory.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to HeyGrow or anyone else.

How do I resize without stretching the image?

Use Max size or Percentage — they always keep the original proportions. With Exact size, keep 'Keep proportions' switched on and fill in just the width or the height.

Can I make an image bigger?

Yes: switch off 'Don't enlarge smaller images'. Enlarging can't add detail, so big enlargements look soft.

Can I resize many images at once?

Yes. Drop as many images as you like; every image gets the same settings and you can download them all as a ZIP.

Which size should I use for websites and social media?

A maximum of 1920 pixels on the long side suits most websites and full-screen viewing; 1080 pixels is enough for most social media posts.
